Today in class we were looking at a patient's info and our friend who is so verbal said "That lady's from Mexico." Then David our trainer said that she didn't have to be from Mexico because her name is Hispanic. She could be from Brazil or something. Then our friend said "I don't curr." Then I chimed in and said, "There are about 20 Hispanic countries and they all speak different languages! How can you not care?" Her response was "I don't curr." Wow. So today was our last day in training and I am pretty happy about that, although I am pretty scared about getting on the phone tomorrow. I'll be with someone for the next four days, so I'll have support, but I'm still pretty scared. We are going to Buckheads for lunch, though. Woohoo.
I didn't feel well when I got home so I didn't really have any dinner. I had a pudding and then I had a bowl of cereal after I slept for an hour. Then we went to Office Depot where I got a calendar and a few other small things for my cubicle. After that we made a great discovery: The Half Price Books/Movies/Records store right down the sidewalk from the Melting Pot. I got three books and the "Pirates of the Caribbean" CD for a grand total of 19 dollars. Good times.
Although I am worried about tomorrow, I know it will be fine once I start doing it myself and I know that it's just going to take time to get used to everything. Also, it's Friday and we are going to have fun at Jason and Lauren's tomorrow. Happy Birthday Jason! (for tomorrow) And Happy Birthday Karissa! Looking forward to getting tomorrow over with ... woohoo.
