So since my wife and I never got me signed up on her site I decided to steal her identity and post as her for the first time. I don't know why, but I had an urge to post whilst I was home eating Taco Bell for lunch today. The burritos were quite yummy but I felt like an idiot. I pulled to the drive thru to order my usual, #1, and the guy said the wrong total. It should have been $4.23 but it was 5 dollars or something. Which is WAY too much to pay for Taco Bell. So I pulled around and the guy thought I had said #4. So I apologized and asked to change it to a #1. But then as I was sitting there I started thinking...and I think I really did say #4 for some reason. So my apologies go out to you Mr. Taco Bell Drive Thru Guy, it really was my fault you screwed up. Plus, I got 2 items, so CLEARLY only 2 packets were necessary. On the contrary I need about 5. But the guy didn't know and I didn't state "LOTS OF HOT SAUCE" so no hard feelings.

I got stuck in odd traffic this morning. Bardstown was slop and go for about 5 minutes. At one point I rounded a hilly curve and saw a cop in the road but by the time we got up there no cop. Weird. And then the day went really fast. I finally got my plans finalized for building picnic tables and benches for GE's fall Service Project at the Clark County 4H fairgrounds in Indiana. I'm leading a team of 15-20 people to build 6 picnic tables and 10 benches for the kids to use. We're using last year's table design with a few mods but I have to design the benches all on my own and create a BOM (or Bill of Materials) so they know how much wood to buy. I was gonna suggest we just buy picnic tables (86 bucks at Lowes) but it would be hella more fun to build them. Plus it gives me a worthwhile role to fulfill, rather than moving some tables around the pavilion and calling it a day.

I'm also really excited about our neighborhood. When they first started building they built 5 of the expensive homes and 4 of the Cottages. (They aren't cheaper...they are Cottages ;-) So the cottages sold like hot cakes and people started buying lots and building as well as buying the 4 premade ones. Well the expensive homes didn't sell. So I think like 3 of the 5 finally sold to people and maybe one person bought a lot, but sales were still down. So the management decided to start building about 3 more HUGE homes for people to see and get impressed by. So that is all going on now, with 4 expensive homes going up as we speak. 2 framed, and 2 holes in the earth. I'm excited for multiple reasons, A) the neighborhood gets going and hopefully finished sooner, and B) the more expensive homes they build around us, the more our house will be worth. We aren't looking to flip the house any time soon, unless you call a 6-8 year stay a flip, but I'm still interested in property values rising.

I also wanted to say how jealous I am of my brother in law, on my wife's side, if he is seriously thinking about building a home theatre. Its my dream to do, and I definitely will and would here were we not likely to move in such a short time. To my other brother-in-law, unfortunately I don't envy you being in Afghanistan in the heat right now...but you did get to marry my marvelous sister, so you have that going for you!

So ends my first post. Lots of ranting about nothing...huh, They should make a show about that.
