My interview went really well and I am very hopeful. She said that if I don't hear anything by Monday night, then assume that I was not selected for the job. Cross your fingers for me.
On Thursday night, Eric and I went to the mall and got his tires rotated. While we walked around the mall, I got a new bra and some makeup. So that's fun. We really didn't do much the rest of the night. Chrissy called me, though, and she is coming to visit next weekend. Yay!
Friday at work was CRAZY. I didn't have a moment to breathe. When 6 rolled around, we were all very tired and felt like we'd been through a lot. Eric and I went to Famous Dave's for dinner and it was the best meal that I've had in a very long time. It was great. Oh, I forgot the best part of the day (besides that it was Friday) - we got our new fridge! YAY! So after dinner we went and bought some food to fill it up, but it still looks very empty.
Saturday morning we went to Saratoga Woods and walked around with Jason and Lauren for th neighborhood yard sale. Good times, but we didn't buy anything. It was also very hot. We went to mammaw and pappaw's for some lunch and then went to Ashley Furniture and Value City looking for a coffee table. No luck. Once at home, we stole a tree from a lot where they are building a spec home, and pulled it up to the house. It's freaking heavy! But now we have two maple trees instead of just one. :o) Didn't do much the rest of the night.
Today was a very productive day. We got up early and started preparing for mom, dad, and grandma to come over for our Father's Day meal. It was all a great success. I cleaned for awhile and then started cooking the marinated chicken that we did the night before. We also had some garlic and olive oil pasta, corn on the cob, salad, and rolls. We only have two chairs, so we were not all at the same table, but that's okay. It was still very good. We cooked peach cobbler that my mom picked up for us, and enjoyed that a little while later. After the family left, we took the rest of the cobbler to Cameron and then rested a little bit before going to the in-laws for dinner and Father's Day schtuff. Good times and good food. Once back at home, we struggled to dig a hole for the tree and finally planted it. The soil here is very rocky, so we waited until it rained in hopes that it would be a little softer. It was softer, but very muddy, of course, so our shoes look awful. Oh well. Now we're just sitting here and relaxing before the week begins.
I am so anxious for a call from Humana. Like I said, I'm really hopeful, and I hope that I get it ... but if I don't, then the Yum thing seems promising, too. The sooner I can get out of where I am, though, the happier I'll be. Not that I hate my job, but I just don't want to do it for a long time. I love the people I work with, but not the work itself. So ... yeah.
